How to act?
It is important that, in the event of a claim, you take immediate and appropriate measures to minimize damage and ensure the safety of everyone involved. Follow these steps:
1 | Safety first.
Make sure everyone is out of danger. If there are any injuries, call 112 immediately to request emergency assistance.
2 | Local Signage.
Mark the location with the safety triangle at an adequate distance and use a reflective vest. These precautions are essential to avoid further accidents.
3 | Evaluate the damages.
Perform a visual check of the damage on the vehicles involved and determine if it is safe to remain on the site or if it is necessary to move the cars to a safe location.
4 | Exchange information with those involved.
Exchange personal data, information about vehicles, and insurance policies with all parties involved. Gather the contact information of witnesses, if any.
5 | Document the accident.
Take photos of the scene, the damage to the vehicles, and any other important evidence. Record the date, time, and weather conditions, which may be useful for the insurance company.
6 | Fill out the friendly document (DAAA).
If it is an accident without serious injuries, fill out the Friendly Accident Report (DAAA), which will help simplify the process with the insurance company.
7 | Contact Soma & Seg or the insurance company.
Inform Soma & Seg or the insurance company of the claim as soon as possible. Our team will guide you on the next steps and provide support throughout the entire process.
8 | Follow the claims process.
